Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley Staff
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley has a staff of highly qualified, experienced and caring professionals. Each area of the club is supervised by a staff member with roving staff available to facilitate programs, solve problems and help members learn, create and grow.
Administrative Staff
Dave Pier, Executive Director
Hired in February 2007, Dave worked previously for twelve years at Hanna Boys Center. He earned a B.A. degree in psychology from College of Notre Dame in Belmont, CA in 1994. In 2003 he earned a M.A. degree in counseling psychology from Sonoma State University. A native of Sonoma county, he lives in Sonoma with his two children and a black lab. Dave is active in the Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley and serves on their board and oversees their community service efforts. He enjoys the outdoors, running, gardening, traveling, playing guitar, and family time.
Marjorie Doran, Director of Operations
Marjorie comes to us from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley where she worked as the Clubhouse Director for the past two years, developing and marketing new programs, managing the budget, and assisting with human resource elements. For eleven years prior to that she worked in various capacities for YMCA including as a Program Director for four of those years. Marjorie understands the importance of developing and strengthening the collaborative partnerships in the Valley that are essential to the growth of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley. She lives in Sonoma with her 3 teenagers and is enjoys working in her hometown community.
Katie Holden, Director of Development & Marketing
Katie joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley in the summer of 2004 as the Director of Development and Marketing. A native of Sonoma, Katie is also an active member of Kiwanis of Sonoma Plaza. She received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications from CSU Chico.
